The 2010 Advisory Board Ballot has been finalized and all music players on our website have been uploaded with mp3s of all artists who have submitted material for nomination consideration for the 12th Annual Native American Music Awards. Advisory Board Members are now casting their votes and selecting five finalists in each category to become the nominees for the 12th Annual Awards program. |

Winnipeg, Manitoba (August 25, 2010) -- The Manito Ahbee Festival is pleased to announce the nominees for their annual music awards. The full list of nominees is located at the end of this media release.
The 5th annual Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards (APCMAs) are handed out in Winnipeg over two nights. The First Night Awards take place on Thursday November 4th. The Awards gala happens Friday November 5th at MTS Centre, and is broadcast live on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). |

When the envelopes are opened at the Western Canadian Music Awards this fall, Manitoba artists and industry will have 34 chances to hear their names called. The annual awards gala heads to Kelowna on October 24, when winners in 28 artistic and industry categories will be announced. Manitoba accounts for 34 nominations in 22 different categories, 20 of which are artistic awards. For first time in its eight-year history, the WCMAs will be broadcast nationally on CBC Television and Radio Canada. |
