Do you know a nurse who deserves special recognition? Why not nominate her or him for the eight annual First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Award of Excellence in Nursing?
The Award of Excellence in Nursing will be presented to three recipients during National Nursing Week at a ceremony in Ottawa on Friday, May 14, 2010. Each winner will receive a $2500.00 non-cash award to be used for professional development. Travel and accommodation costs for the winners and one guest each will be provided by FNIHB to attend the Award Ceremony.
Who is Eligible to receive this Award?
Nurses who are currently employed by First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, a First Nation employer, or working in an Inuit community are eligible for the award. The award is open to all Community Health Nurses who have worked the equivalent two years full time in a First Nations or Inuit community. The Award of Excellence is strictly for frontline nurses (excluding management).
