NORTH BAY, November 8, 2009 – Canada’s largest hotel management company has signed on to help Takwanaw Corporation (formerly WISE) World Indigenous Society of Elders, recognizing both status and non status First Nations, Inuit and Métis save on group travel accommodation expenses while raising money at the same time. Takwanaw Corporation today announced a new partnership agreement with Westmont Hospitality Group (WHG). Westmont operates over 150 hotels in Canada, including Best Western, Comfort Inn, Delta, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Quality, Radisson and Travelodge. As part of their partnership, WHG’s hotels in Canada will extend the hotel’s discounted, competitive “group rate” to all group travel affiliated with Takwanaw Corporation. In addition, every time a group stays at a Westmont Hospitality Group hotel, a percentage of the room rate will go back to Takwanaw Corporation, contributing to programs and projects, campaign fundraising for 2010.
